What it does

Students import or record lectures and add course slides, textbooks and past exams. The app transcribes speech and recognizes text locally, sends only the text to DeepSeek, and generates a class summary that highlights the key points of the lecture and final review materials that match what the teacher emphasized. Results are shown in the app and can be exported as PDF.

Technical notes

Native Swift / SwiftUI interface, three-column NavigationSplitView layout, menu bar recording indicator
Local speech recognition with SenseVoice, running as a Python sidecar; the app manages its lifecycle and installs its dependencies
Apple Vision framework for OCR of slides and exams
Markdown converted to Typst, with a bundled Typst compiler exporting PDFs from a fixed template
Privacy: audio and images stay on the machine; only the transcribed text goes to the model API

Current version v1.0.1, packaged, signed and in daily use on my Mac; not publicly released yet. The same idea later became the HarmonyOS app ClassZip.
